From Theory to Practice with SYNCC-IN Workshops
Advancing Understanding of Bio-Behavioural Synchrony: From Theory to Practice with SYNCC-IN Workshops
May 5–7, 2025 | Warsaw & online
The Advancing Understanding of Bio-Behavioural Synchrony took place between May 5th and 7th, 2025, bringing together researchers, students, and practitioners from diverse disciplines to explore the science and methodology of bio-behavioural synchrony. The event combined keynote lectures, hands-on workshops, and group discussions to bridge theory and research practice.
Throughout the three days, participants engaged with cutting-edge methods used to investigate synchrony — including fNIRS and motor-vocal interaction analysis.
The workshops also welcomed researchers applying these techniques in broader fields such as psycholinguistics, philosophy, bioinformatics, mathematics, and physics, creating a rich, interdisciplinary environment.
We are grateful to everyone who joined us in Warsaw and online — thank you for your presence, energy, and contributions!

About SYNCC-IN workshops: The meeting will include both plenary lectures and smaller group workshops to transfer theoretical knowledge into research practice. The event is designed for researchers and students interested in the project’s themes and methodologies (fNIRS, EEG, HRV, motor-vocal analysis) used to investigate bio-behavioural synchrony in both neurotypical and neuroatypical populations. It also welcomes anyone exploring the application of these techniques in fields such as psycholinguistics, philosophy, bioinformatics, physics, mathematics, and beyond.
